BIOGRAPHY

Meredith Gray is an operatic soprano with a strong love and connection to various music styles from the 1900s. She always says that the two voices who influenced her music preferences the most growing up were Luciano Pavarotti and Freddie Mercury. These days, Meredith is extremely inspired by the voices of Lise Davidsen and Sylvia D'Eramo.

This avid reader and cat lover spent all of her time during quarantine with her head down in fantasy books or bonding with her two cats Lily and Bean. Meredith's cats love sitting on her piano bench while she practices.

While at The University of North Texas, Meredith studied under the world-renowned bass-baritone, Dr. Stephen Morscheck. Meredith was also an active choir member while UNT, being in one of UNT’s top choral ensembles for three years and the Women’s Chorus for the two years prior.

During her time at the Mannes School of Music, where she studied under Arthur Levy and Joshua Greene, Meredith had the pleasure of performing in scenes from Menotti's The Consul as Magda and Britten's The Rape of Lucretia as Female Chorus with Mannes Opera. While at Mannes, Meredith made role debuts as Almera in Nico Muhly’s Dark Sisters, and as Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.
